Every September, locals with an appreciation for fine Jazz head down to the Jones Plaza for the annual Jazz Nights Under The Stars event. Regarded as one of Houston's most revered Jazz Festivals, the event features a weekend of prominent national and local jazz artists at their best. Past entertainers have included Marion Meadows, Najee, Dean James, Howard Hewitt, Miki Howard, Angela Bofill, Alex Bugnon, and Roy Ayers. The event typically takes place around Labor Day weekend.
