Those with a fondness for sequenced one-piece suits and killer side burns are welcome to drop by the Sam Houston Race Park on the first weekend in January to celebrate Elvis's birthday. Birthday festivities include live thoroughbred horse racing, a peanut butter and banana sandwich eating contest, and, of course, an Elvis look-alike contest. In addition to taking home the inherent glory of looking like Elvis, the winner of the look a like contest receives 1,000 dollars in cash. Past event winners also had their picture -- qua Elvis, of course -- published the following day in the Houston Chronicle.
