Chinese New Year

Typically held in February is Houston's Chinese New Year celebration. Houstonians and visitors with a taste for all things Chinese welcome in the New Year with an exciting night of festivities -- including a Dragon Lion Dance, tasty Chinese cuisine, fortune telling, and more. An event certain to please those of all ages, the festivities also include face painting for kids, and interactive activities to learn about the 12 different Chinese zodiacs. Come on down and learn about your very own specific character traits as described by the zodiac assigned to the year you were born. The annual festivities are held at the Chinese Community Center in Houston's Chinatown.
