Houston is served by two airports, George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport. Neither airport is located directly within Downtown Houston, the city's central business district, but both provide relatively easy access to the city and the greater Houston area. Business travelers might want to consider staying near the airports if they are not planning to stay in the city for long. George Bush Intercontinental Airport

Despite the name, the airport does have international flights, including to Toronto, Vancouver, London, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Dubai and Frankfurt. It is the state's second largest airport after Dallas-Fort Worth and serves as the headquarters for Continental Airlines. The airport is located 23 miles from Downtown Houston.

William P. Hobby Airport

As the city's oldest commercial airport, it is only located 8 miles from Downtown, making it a good option for those looking not to stay too far from the central business district. The airport handles only domestic flights and is used by budget carries Southwest Airlines and JetBlue Airways.
